Enterprising Practitioner Programme

The Enterprising Practitioner Programme adheres to the National Model of Professional Learning by offering a programme that is:

  • Challenging, and develops thinking, knowledge, skills and understanding
  • Underpinned by developing skills of enquiry and criticality
  • Interactive, reflective and involves learning with and from others.

There are two pathways to completing this professional learning. You can participate in the self-paced pathway any time by signing up here - otherwise the blended learning approach contains 24 hours of notional learning with additional 1-2-1s and group twilight sessions that represent 30 hours of professional learning over the academic year.

What's involved?

Intended Audience: ELC, Primary, Secondary practitioners and teachers with an interest in enterprise education.

Aims of course: Significant academic and policy debate and discussion surrounds the meaning of enterprise in education and of the most effective educational methods and techniques to develop the enterprising attitudes and skills of our young people.

This three-module programme, supported with 4 twilight sessions, aims to give you an introduction to this broad area whilst enabling collaboration and sharing of best practice.

Entry requirements: Participants should be involved in the delivery of the curriculum.

Evidence requirements: There are no formal assessments associated with the course. Participants self-assess their completion of the online content and are required to set own targets throughout. Participants are encouraged to share their workbook content and lesson/project plans during twilight sessions 2-4.
