Introducing Our New Project Manager

Many of you will know that this year at Scotland’s Enterprising Schools, we said goodbye to our Head of Programme, Lorraine Ross, who left us pursue enterprising opportunities as a STEM ambassador at Education Scotland.

We’re delighted to finally be able to announce that our new Project Manager, Julie Degnan, has now joined the Scotland’s Enterprising Schools team!

Julie brings over 13 years of experience as a primary school teacher to her role as Project Manager for SES.

Prior to that, she worked with a number of small business start-ups and was inspired by their creativity and resilience.

She is passionate about the use of enterprise education to enhance learning and teaching, and enjoys collaborating with practitioners to support the delivery of the curriculum through quality enterprise initiatives.

In the past, she has: tracked elephants for 20 days in Namibia; been a goat-farmer outside Brisbane; sold magic wands on the boardwalk in Maryland; and played ice hockey for the local women’s team in Paisley. She’s not sure what’s next on her bucket list!

A big welcome to our new Project Manager, Julie! If you want to know more about the Scotland’s Enterprising Schools team, you can read all about them on our Meet the Team page.
