As Project Manager for Scotland's Enterprising Schools, I want to provide you with an update on our work to support young people and schools during the current situation with Coronavirus (Covid-19).
As always, our priority is to continue to support Scotland's teachers and pupils and to look after our staff team.
We are closely following and adhering to Government advice. We are currently working from home and we are not delivering in schools and universities.
We have taken the decision to postpone all our in-school training sessions and events up to the end of June, which we will endeavour to re-arrange for an appropriate time later in the year.
We are keen to do all we can to support our teachers and young people through what is an extremely challenging time for them and have undertaken to broaden the scope of our freely available digital resources through our Home Learning page.
We continue to offer online professional learning through our 3-module programme, EnterprisingPractitioner, which can be accessed free by registering as a member. We have also committed to bringing you our Embedding Enterprise Education training sessions remotely, which we will share with you in the final term.
More than ever, we believe that providing enterprise education is vital for young people to develop the skills they will need to prepare them for a rapidly changing world of work. We continue to strive to support our educators with enterprise education and want to let you know that we are available on the phone, by email or through our social media channels if we can be of any assistance – please do not hesitate to get in touch!
I will continue to keep you updated as we work through this challenging period.
