Cyber Skills Live is a series of interactive activities in cyber security, tech skills, and data science. We want young people to be able to experience what it could be like to work in a variety of technology roles.
Our activities are popular with high school students, being played over 200,000 times. They are a way of introducing new topics to pupils in a fun and engaging way.
There are over 15 activities available, each lasting around 30 minutes. The activities are offered at no cost, and no accounts or registration is required. Everything can be done within a web browser.
Lesson packs are available for teachers with slides, supporting notes, and videos
We run online live streams with hundreds of pupils completing the activities at the same time with subject experts on hand. We follow the progress of learners, coach, and shoutout their achievements. Private live streams can be booked by schools or groups.
This project is supported by Skills Development Scotland.

Many thanks for organising a fascinating #CyberSkillsLive session this morning. Great to have a go at trying to find a data breach alongside other pupils across Scotland and learning about the many training and job opportunities available in the industryud83dudcbbud83dudd12ud83dudc6eu200du2640ufe0f
Enjoyable, educational, helped bring some of our Data Learning to life in a real life context.
Excellent Cyber Session. Pupils fully engaged and relevant to the S1 Cyber Security curriculum.
S3 computing science pupils learned how to rob a bank with #cyberskillslive. Well done to Alastair who pushed it over the £200 million mark!!!
Love everything the team at #DataSkillsLive do! Can't wait to create my own selfie with data.
Loving the #DataSkillsLive session this afternoon. It's an online live session with an interactive website showing us how conservationists can use machine learning to track poachers and save rhinos! Brilliant execution and really engaging! All my son wanted to do today was watch. Was v reluctant to start but now he's happily classifying photos for his model! Thank you.
