Offer

We are part of an Erasmus+ funded project running from 2014 – 2017 called Reaching the Lost Generation. These partners are:

  • Train'd Up, Menstrie, Scotland
  • Euro-Training Centre, Munich, Germany
  • EduNet Foundation, Budapest, Hungary
  • Pedagogical University of Cracow, Poland

This project has developed an enterprise and employability training programme, Reach for Your Life's Goals (RLG), covering 10 competencies:

  • Adaptability & Flexibility
  • Business thinking & Awareness
  • Decision Making
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Planning & Organising
  • Problem Solving
  • Strong Initiative
  • Taking Responsibility
  • Willingness to Take Risks
  • Willingness to Learn

This aims to help develop young people (16-25 years) in Europe, who are NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) or at risk of becoming NEET.

The programme is made up of an Initial Assessment to measure the level of participants' competencies, followed by training activities to develop these competencies. A Final Assessment takes place at the end of the training to review how the participants have progressed.

Complete details of the project can be seen at the project website (select English option).

  • "I like the idea of developing competencies by using specific activities."

From the participants:

  • "I found out more about the world of work."
  • "It helped me to work with people I wouldn't usually have been friends with."

Pilot Evaluation

The programme was delivered 3 or more times to appropriate groups in each of the 4 countries. After each programme, the content was reviewed and adapted to reflect the lessons learned in each country. A training manual was developed and used to support trainers who were not previously experienced in working with NEET participants.

The training and assessment materials were finalised and templates were made up for each of the activities, coded to demonstrate the competencies included. A full set of documentation is now available alongside the Trainer Manual and a Follow Up Guide to monitor participants post training.
